Frequently Asked Questions
| Question |
I cannot send/receive certain type of attachment (such as .exe, .com, .bat, etc) |
|
|
| Answer |
Background:
To prevent virus, SXL mail server automatically block certain type of attachments with executable file extensions.
Including: *.com, *.exe, *.pif, *.cmd, *.bat, *.js, *.scr, *.vbs, *.wsh, *.reg, *.shs, etc.
When our server block an attachment, a note will be inserted into the email body to tell you the name of the file which has been blocked.
This behaviour is by design
Solution:
If you believe the email is legitimate, you can ask the sender to rename the file or zip the file, and then send it to you again.
